Pawsitively Priceless Petsitting

We are Professional Pet Sitters.

We take our jobs very seriously - even when we're rolling around in the grass
with your dogs or hanging off a railing dangling toys for your cats.

When you hire us, you will rest assured that your animals and your home
are being cared for with absolute professionalism and pride.

That is our promise to you.

-Marvie Newcomb, owner Pawsitively Priceless Petsitting

Melissa

Often spotted being trailed by adoring animals, Melissa joyously declares a dog's snort is music to her ears. Undefeated in Canine Tug of War, she can always be counted on to console her furry opponents with lots of love. She currently holds the World Record for Consecutive Moments of High Level Feline Purring.

Cole

Dances with Chihuahuas, tiptoes through the figure 8's of cats, and frequently spotted chasing balls the dog throws, Cole is her very own entertainment package - to the great delight of animals throughout the world. When not dancing with animals, she can be found strumming for them.

A Few Words About Hiring A Professional Pet Sitter..

A professional pet sitter is licensed, insured and bonded, and has made a full career commitment to caring for the animals of others. We have deliberately chosen this responsibility as our profession and we do not have other “day jobs” or distractions to interfere with caring for our client’s pets. Our focus is to relieve you of worry and guilt while giving your pet the best care available. This is our livelihood, and we take it very seriously.

A professional pet sitter will gladly show proof of insurance, license and bonding when asked, as we do during our consultation visits. Pawsitively Priceless Petsitting is insured and bonded by Business Insurers of the Carolinas, with a policy specifically geared towards the special circumstances of pet sitters and their clients. We will also show proof of our Red Cross Pet First Aid certification, and are proud to show it. As pet sitters, we are not insured to groom or kennel animals, and you should be cautious about the depth of insurance coverage for those who do offer these services.

A professional pet sitter is trained to respond instantly to changes in behavior, eating patterns or temperament. We work to become attuned to your animal immediately, and we search out signs of illness and injury every moment we are with your pet. In the case of a medical issue, if at all possible, we will use the veterinarian you request, but we carry numbers for after-hours clinics and emergency hospitals all over the city.

A professional pet sitter will provide you with a legally binding contract at the time you choose to hire them. We will ask for proof of rabies in the event we are stopped while walking your animals, and we will give you a Veterinarian Release form to sign in the event that we need to vet your animal while you are away. We will ask who your utility services are with, and have you show us the emergency cutoffs for water, electricity and gas lines into your home. We will record this information and have it with us each time we enter your home.

A professional pet sitter will be glad to provide references for you to contact. At this time, Pawsitively Priceless Petsitting has approximately 200 active clients, so it is entirely possible that one of your neighbors might be a reference!

A professional pet sitter will not bring non-employees into your home, nor subcontract your animal and home to other sitters, nor fail to show up for a scheduled appointment. Our Policies page spells out our inclement weather policy, and while inclement weather is a bit rare here in Virginia, our clients know that we will do everything humanly possible to reach your animals barring serious risk of injury to ourselves.

Please feel free to review our Policies page for further information about what you can expect when you partner with Pawsitively Priceless Petsitting!
